Surviving Past 2012
Surviving Past 2012
That catastrophic global events have been predicted for 2012 by Ancient Civilizations and even some modern day Scientists is not in question . . . . what is in doubt is how to survive past 2012 if huge earth changing events do occur ?
The undisputed concensus amongst ancient prophecies is that surviving beyond 2012 is going to be mankinds greatest challenge.
- The Mayan and Aztec calenders all end on December 21, 2012 which coincides with the 1st day of earth's creation !
- The I-Ching, (ancient Chinese Oracle or Book of Changes) teaches that life is cyclical and that the next and greatest change will occur in 2012.
- The Hopi Indians tell us the spirit of our ancestors are giving loud warnings of major upheavels to the structure of the earth and climate.
- The Bible also predicts huge human unrest (wars, famines, disease, etc) along with major earthquakes and climate extremes,
- Modern Science is showing the magnetic fields are shifting along with increased sunspot activity with a peak in 2012. Even NASA predicts that both these abrupt changes may bring about a complete reverse of the magnetc poles on earth. The last time this happened, it ushered an Ice Age.
Now most people will take these prophecies or predictions with a 'grain of salt' and laugh it off as superstitious rubbish. An increasing percentage of the population, however, are taking heed of the information and adding it to the increasing pile of evidence that something is going on that we the public are being kept in the dark about.
Now let us add into the ancient prophecies mix, what is happening in the world at the present time.
- Worldwide recession / depression which is by no means over and has to get worse before it gets better if you look at the facts closely.
- The Trillions of dollars the FED is pumping into the USA economy which is mirrored in many other Western Economies. The collapse of the USD is only a matter of time.
- Endless wars, the worldwide war on terror, all designed to keep the population fearful and on edge. Governments know that a population held in fear is a controllable population.
- The threat of Flu Pandemics, which are designed to cull the population down to more 'manageable numbers'.
- The suppression of information all for the 'good of the people'.
- And the list goes on . . . . . . .
Laws are already on place in most countries, especially the USA, where at the stroke of a pen, all basic human rights are suspended and freedom will be officially dead. Perhaps the ancient prophecies were predicting the death of freedom of civilisations rather than major earth upheavals ?
There are basically THREE types of people on this planet.
1. Those who make things Happen. The active players.
2. Those who watch things Happen. Passive spectators.
3. And those who say, "What Happened ?". These people are not even in the Ball Park.
Which group do you belong to ?
This next step for the people who have 'woken up' is to plan and prepare should 'bad things' happen in what are sure to be very tough times. Even those who are 'waking up', having taken off the rose coloured glasses, and slowly realising that things are not quite right in this world, need to start an action plan. As for the hardened sceptics amongst us, it surely does make a lot of sense to consider that next step of being prepared 'just-in-case' there is a world wide cataclysmic disaster of some sort.
Slightly off the subject and as a matter of interest, how many of you were prepared for the Sub-prime Mortgage collapse along with the global economic recession/depression ? If you had of been and the signs were there, believe me, would you be in a better financial situation than you are now ? Here's some advance warning. Are you going to be ready for when the 'ARM' (Adjustable Rate Mortgages) financial packages start turning to custard later this year along with a commercial real estate crisis ?
This ultimate survival guide has been put together with all 'worst-case-scenarios' in mind. For most people, there will be an initial shock to what could go wrong and how your 'home comfort zone' with all the mod-cons will be of very little help to you. What is provided is a well laid out emergency plan with all the practical 'nuts and bolts' you would require and issues you would have to address if there was is a worldwide cataclysmic disaster instigated either by nature or by mankind himself. All possible scenarios are covered and what essential items are required, eg cooking, medical, hardware, alternative energy, etc.
Remember, good planning does cost. A lot of Time and Money can be expended and wasted by the average person trying to come up with a feasible plan of action for survival. It is far more cost effective both in time and money to buy into an experts plan and be prepared to execute what they have spent months on researching and investigating.
I am Awake and realise 'something major could
happen' and so want to investigate further a
'step by step' Survival 2012 Guide.

Hopi Prophecy (part Ii)
I am simply amazed at the ability of the Mayans to interpret our universe with appraently such little scientific intelligence. Maybe there’s a message there for us. But, back here in the States the Hopi Indians ability to see into the future with their concept of five worlds is no less amazing. In fact Hopi prophecy is quite startling (read part one by CLICKING HERE) . Let me give you some examples.
Our native American Hopi are gentle and peaceful people who have lived under very harsh conditions and survived. In fact, they feel that it is because of their customs that many dangers have been kept at bay. They have seen four worlds come and they feel the 4th world is about to go. As a warning about the impending fifth world, they requested an opportunity to speak to the United Nations (in 1948).
Our world is changing and they have deep insight to that concept.
They had been given the word that they were to warn the world’s leaders who would assemble in a great house made of mica that would have been built on the Eastern sores of their land. Can you say New York? It was a vision that had been given to them much like many other such visions that had proven to be true. A couple of examples would be as follows.>Many large wagons would come and be pulled by something greater than a horse. Of course the rail roads fulfilled this amazing prophecy.
>They saw the white man making roads in the skies which of course was fulfilled by airplanes. They also saw lines in the air. Can you say utility power poles?
>They saw a “gourd full of ashes” that would burn the land and make it impossible to grow anything while spreading incurable diseases. Can you say atomic bomb?
>The most recent and final sign was widespread famine, wars, and nations against nations which would be preceded by the white man building a house in the sky. Can you say Skylab space station?
These are just a few of the amazing prophecies that would make Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce jealous.
Who wants to listen to the Hopi, the Mayans, or other uncivilized and unsophisticated socities? What do they know that we with our brilliant scientists can’t figure out? The date December 21, 2012 is just a concept to rally around. Will it be 2012 or 20111, or 2013? Unlike many of the interpretations and web sites that you can find on 12-21-2012, neither the Mayans not the Hopi see the end of the world, just the end of the world as we know it. Be it the 5th world or 9th underworld, the message is the same.
It’s not the end of the world, but the beginning of a new one that is already now in the transformation stage? How well prepared will you be for this Future Shock- the Hopi prophecy?

2012 : The Movie
On November 13th, one of the worst made movies will appear portraying one of the most talked about dates ever- December 21, 2012. As one pre-viewer wrote, “The special effects and the main parts of the cast had some of the worst quality I have ever seen. This film simply doesn’t stand up to any criteria of good quality and was awful to watch. Hadn’t it been because of the massive over-rating of this film it probably never would’ve been mentioned.”
So, what about the Mayans themselves- those that still remain?
Apolinario Chile Pixtun is tired of being bombarded with frantic questions about the Mayan calendar supposedly “running out” on Dec. 21, 2012. After all, it’s not the end of the world. Or is it? Chile Pixtun, a Guatemalan, says the doomsday theories spring from Western, not Mayan ideas.
A significant time period for the Mayas does end on the date, and enthusiasts have found a series of astronomical alignments they say coincide in 2012, including one that happens roughly only once every 25,600 years. It may sound all too much like other doomsday scenarios of recent decades — the 1987 Harmonic Convergence, 1988 Biblical end date paranoia, the Jupiter Effect, or “Planet X.”
So, what about Monument Six? Doesn’t it have some grains of archaeological basis?
Found at an obscure ruin in southern Mexico during highway construction in the 1960s, the stone tablet almost didn’t survive; the site was largely paved over and parts of the tablet were looted. It’s unique in that the remaining parts contain the equivalent of the date 2012. The inscription describes something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yokte, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation.
Erosion and a crack in the stone make the end of the passage almost illegible. Archaeologist Guillermo Bernal of Mexico’s National Autonomous University interprets the last eroded glyphs as maybe saying, “He will descend from the sky.”
If it were all mythology, perhaps it could be written off.
But some say the Maya knew another secret: the Earth’s axis wobbles, slightly changing the alignment of the stars every year. Once every 25,600 years, the sun lines up with the center of our Milky Way galaxy on a winter solstice, the sun’s lowest point in the horizon. That will happen on Dec. 21, 2012, when the sun appears to rise in the same spot where the bright center of galaxy sets.
Those are facts. The movie is fact-less!
Author John Major Jenkins says his two-decade study of Mayan ruins indicate the Maya were aware of the alignment and attached great importance to it. “If we want to honor and respect how the Maya think about this, then we would say that the Maya viewed 2012, as all cycle endings, as a time of transformation and renewal,” said Jenkins.
Thee surely a lot of myths surrounding 2012, but we might be alert to where there is smoke, fires are close at hand. And that said, I’ll still see the movie regardless.

The Kogi 2012 Message
When the Spaniards arrived in South America Colombia 500 years ago, they went about an ethnic cleansing, “in the name of God”. What incredible things we do in God’s name. Only a few indigenous tribes that could tolerate the heights of the Andes survived the Spanish onslaughts. Many Incas in Peru escaped and then we have the Kogi tribe of Northern Colombia who fled high into the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. A tribe we once thought obliterated all of a sudden return: to tell us about 2012?
The Kogi have surprised us. They’ve lived at elevations above 18,000 feet (5,700 meters) in what they call the “Mother” and the “Heart of the World.” The Sierra Nevada, in the shape of a pyramid, rises from the sunny coasts of the Caribbean tropics to the chilly, snow-capped peaks, all in only 30 vertical miles. It is isolated from the Andes range, but can be viewed spiritually as the crown chakra of the Andes. Why did they come down from the snow-capped mountains that have hidden them for 500+ years- in 1992?
They brought the message that their mountain was sick and dying!
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta which gives birth to more than three dozen rivers was losing its health. The snow caps were melting, the trees were sick, the leaves were unhealthy, and so the Kogi came with a message to the world. The Kogi are the direct descendants of the Tairona civilization. The Tairona culture flourished in Northern Colombia around 1,000 AD. They survived as a culture because the Kogi focus all their energy on the life of the mind as opposed to the life of a body or an individual. Wonder how we’ve gotten so far off course, and can we make a course correction?
Fundamental their survival is the maintenance of physical separation from their world and our own. The Kogi do not allow anyone into their land. They are very protective of their sacred space and the dense jungle is not kind to tourists. Very few Colombians dare enter into their territory.
The snow has stopped falling and they see the end to our planet in less than two decades unless we change. They came out of hiding and delivered that message in 1992. Add two decades and one gets 2012- maybe 12.21.2012? Everything about their history and religion is passed down through oral instructions and their lives are run by the spiritual leaders or Shamans named “Mamas.” The Kogi are a deeply spiritual people who are in sync with Mother Earth and Mother Earth is saying catastrophe is not far down the road.
They never grow grey hair and have no facial hair. They can spend 9 days awake without sleep during their ceremonial rites. Could we Americans produce a lot more if we could stay awake that long? ?
The Kogi call our world Aluna, and they see a reflection of the physical world first in the spiritual world. If Aluna is the Mother, then the Kogi listen to the Mother by divining. This lost technique of divination is what keeps the Kogi world in balance and order. The Mamas are worried that the “Younger Brother” (that would be you and I) have not heeded the first warning. If the Sierra Nevada or the Mother dies, the world will also die. Is anyone really listening? Can so many indigenous cultures be wrong about these times, especially the year 2012?
Or, are the Kogi just people with crazy ideas?

2012 Mass-Species Extinction?
The short answer is NO! That said, in biology extinction is the end of an organism. The moment of extinction is generally considered to be the death of the last individual of that species. Because a species’ potential range may be very large, determining this moment is difficult. This problem leads to phenomena such as Lazarus taxa, where a species presumed extinct abruptly “re-appears” (typically in the fossil record) after a period of apparent absence.
The “2012 hype” about the winter solstice (12.21.2012) being the end of the world is just that- HYPE!
A typical species becomes extinct within 10 million years of its first appearance, although some species, called living fossils, survive virtually unchanged for hundreds of millions of years. It is estimated that 99.9% of all species that have ever lived are now extinct. So a couple of questions. What’s the big deal and who knows for sure about what happened millions of years ago, let alone 10,000 years ago?
In the near future, three anthropogenic extinction scenarios exist: catastrophic climate change, global nuclear annihilation, and one of dozens of 2012 scenarios.
Many of the world’s scientists agree that we are in the middle of a mass extinction, which is the 6th in earth’s history. The 5th was the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Experts predict that 1/2 of all life on earth will be extinct within this century. How about that optimistic news? Hey, at least they’re saying that we’ll survive 2012- we just won’t survive by 2112!
What we do know is that mankind is not being a good steward of the planet. We’re polluting our rivers and oceans, destroying the rain forests, tearing up the ozone layer, and generally being a CANCER to the planet. For those who keep track of such things we’re losing the rainforest (our most important ecosystem) at the rate of two acres per second! That’s a number much like the trillions we’re in debt. Who can picture such scenarios?
Evidently we humanoids can’t.
The National Wildlife Federation estimates that we’re losing 27,000 species annually around the globe. With current estimated population gains things can only get worse and one gigantic example is what’s called “The Great Pacific Garbage Patch”. Seriously, a huge floating mountain of plastic waste is growing in the Pacific. It is the size of a continent and composed of plastic fragments that have floated together. Charles Moore has estimated that there is six pounds of plastic for every pound of plankton in this area. And how long do we think we can keep this up?
And how about this statistic: worldwide we are producing some 400,000,000 metric tons of hazardous waste annually. Again, a number we have no vision or understanding about, but whose ramifications can be deadly for us all.

2012 Calendar: Mayan or Aztec?
The 2012 calendar is now the most infamous calendar known to man.
Until just recently, not many people put a lot into the calendar. To most of us a calendar is blocks of time by which we arrange our busy lives. We are in tune with dayplanners; books with lines for every hour of every day, week in and week out. Suddenly the world is agog over a calendar chisled in stone. It cannot be erased or changed to suit the whims of modern life. At best, the Mayan 2012 calendar is mysterious and other worldly.
Did you know that the 2012 calendar left by the Mayans is not round?
Nor is this piece of archaeolgical time keeping brightly colored. In fact, the Mayan Long Count is a series of calendars known as ‘stella’. They are actually very tall squared columns of rock that occupy a special place in each ancient Maya community. All four sides of these stella have series of glyphs and figures carved on them. Once up on a time there were many books that held the key to the Long Count calendars. All but one of the books, or codexes as they are referred to, were destroyed by the papacy in the 1500’s when the Spanish arrived to change the Maya world forever.
So how did they arrive with the 2012 calendar end date?
Many years of study has gone into deciphering the glyphs by numerous archaeoligists and historians. Originally, there were several different conclusions, with four different translations arriving at end dates within a several day range. Eventually, it was decided that one of them was correct. Then decades later this particular scholar changed his mind after further study. He proclaimed the real end date of the Mayan calendar was not December 21, 2012 but December 23, 2012.
Dartmouth scholars did not agree and maintained the December 21st end date.
So there is a minor descrepancy as to which date in December 2012 the Long Count calendar of the Maya people ends. Yet, splitting hairs over this two day span is really not changing things at all. And so the Mayan 2012 calendar remains with an end of our current age date on the Winter Solstice.
They are all in agreement that the stone calendar does end on 12-21-12.
Numerically, this is a curious date that looks the same coming and going, with a center that is a mirror of both ends. More mysterious than the baktuns and glyphs is the fact that every program on your television, webpage or print publication about the 2012 calendar of the Mayas shows the wrong artifact. Every single one of them presents you with the Aztec Sun Stone as the image of the Maya Long Count calendar.
This makes the mystery surrounding the 2012 calendar deeper yet.
The Aztec Sun Stone mimics the time keeping system known as the Maya Tzolkin. But the Tzolkin measures a moon cycle and just keeps rotating through the days. The Haab is very simple, while the sun stone is complex in carvings. Additionally, the Aztecs were not meticulous time keepers; in fact the dates could be off by years from one community to another. Whether it is because the sun stone is brilliantly colored or the reasoning lies elsewhere is at present unknown. Still, what most people think is the Mayan Long Count calendar is absolutely wrong. After all, the Aztecs and the Mayas are two seperate cultures.
The Mayas used decimals in the numerics necessary to create their 2012 calendar.
Some people believe that the Mayan people were the first to use decimals. They learned mathmatics and calendar keeping from the Olmecs. The Olmecs were the first native inhabitants of South America in the current age of man. It is said that the Olmecs were the people saved from the land of Lemuria at the time that Atlantis and Lemuria were destroyed. So this incredible mathematical system appears to actually carry over from the third world of man. Be that as it may, the end date remains firm for the 2012 calendar on December 21st.
