How Will We Survive 2012 When?

with 8 comments

Population is growing so fast, energy source is being used so fast, a lot of people not caring about the earth, co2 emissions growing as more energy is used, more diseases coming to the world, and a lot of other stuff. You think we’ll survive by 2012?

  1. Yes, true the earth is getting hotter but not at a rate where we will all drown in 3 years. And there are many scientist working on the energy and population crisis. Maybe by 2012 we will have population control, not like killing off people but like only 2 kids to a family. And if I am correct, I heard that Obama wants to make a law controling CO2 emissions, so if other world leaders do the same, we can make the earth a better place. And maybe there are scientist working on ways to convert CO2 into energy making, I mean that would kill 2 birds with 1 stone!

  2. One of the most important things is to protect the environment. Without the environment there will be no water to drink, no air to breathe and therefore, no life on earth. So, for us to survive beyond 2012, we have to be more eco conscious. For instance – water shortage is already a growing concern across the world. Fresh water levels in many parts of the world have dropped alarmingly. So we need to make a conscious decision to save water. Here are some tips on water saving that might be useful – http://www.bewaterwise.com/tips01.html . Please check them out and also spread the word around. If we have to survive beyond 2012, we have to be a bit more eco conscious. That’s my opinion.

  3. 2012 is the apocalypse! The Mayans said so!
Honestly, we will survive. The human race is ridiculously hardy, and we don’t die off quickly. Life will be different than it is now. And honestly, I truly believe that we could live in this world without a ‘natural environment’ . If the world were to work together, we could manage to create farms for animals (with small cages and mass production as king), vertical agriculture, roof gardens everywhere to help produce oxygen….
However, I feel like that would be terrible and a horrifying totalitarianism. Even if people still maintained basic rights, its the way I see humanity turning. Eventually we will have this world ‘modernized’ and it will be maximized to provide for the greatest amount of individuals it can. it will be clean and civilized.
i don’t know, though, what will happen in 2012. Stay alive and you’ll see.

  5. I think we will, but surviving is different from living well, which we will not be doing. There is so much stress on the planet and we can see the results of climate change already today. Obviously we need to act now before it is too late.
